Thank you CAPCOM! I can’t wait to finally play this game. I bought a 3DS to play this, but couldn’t get on with the console, but did enjoy the demo what I played of it. I have since sold my 3DS and regretted not playing Revelations… and now, my prayers have been answered! MUST.BUY.ON.RELEASE. Please excuse my writing.. I’m just excited.

So Many Games On The Way…

We’re so close to October, and from the very beginning of October, we have a lot of great game releases to purchase… Well I do anyway. The rest of this year is going to be really busy with gaming, and hard on my wallet. I’m probably most looking forward to Resident Evil 6, Sonic Adventure 2 and Zone of the Enders HD Collection.

What games are you guys most looking forward to this year?

Resident Evil 6 Demo: Revisited

Ok, so I posted my thoughts on the Resident Evil 6 demo, included with Dragon’s Dogma. I mentioned that the aiming was very poor, as was the view. However, I have now played the demo over 100 times and my thoughts have kinda changed.

You can change many settings in the options, so now that I have changed it all, the game runs SO much better. If you don’t like the new aiming style, like me, you can change it back to Classic RE4 and RE5 laser sight style, which helps a lot (I can actually shoot heads now!!). I also changed the sensitivity of the aiming and camera to 4 (default is 5).

So once changing the settings, it has made me even more excited for RE6. I can’t stop playing the demo!! There are a few things that need to be fixed such as Helena’s arms going through her boobs and the ability to trade items.

There’s not really much else to say… I’m just going to play the demo in the meantime until the game is released.

Resident Evil 6 Demo: My Thoughts

Today was very exciting! After getting home from work, I was able to gain early access to the Resident Evil 6 demo for Xbox 360 (due to purchasing Dragon’s Dogma). The hardest part was waiting for it to download LMAO. Anyway, let’s get down to business.

As you start the demo up, it will let you choose either Leon’s, Chris’, or Jake’s campaign (you can also play co-op, but I haven’t done so yet!). A nice addition to this game is that you can choose to play as the main character (eg. Leon) or the partner (eg. Helena) from the beginning. I decided to play them in order so that means I played as Leon first.

Just so you’re aware, the demo we get is actually the E3 build, so there’s nothing NEW as such. The graphics are very smooth and shiny, especially in the cut-scenes, but then you also have the problem of screen-tearing.

As you start playing it, it feels somewhat strange with the control overhaul. Personally I found it quite hard to get the hang of it. The diving is a really cool addition, but it’s kinda awkward to perform. Perhaps when I get used to it, it’ll be ok. The aiming is also quite strange. In a way, it seems like you’re quite inaccurate and you can’t really choose where you want to hit the enemy, but more like “Just shoot blindly and if you hit his head, well done!” but maybe the skill points will unlock better accuracy.

Now my main problem with the game is the view. It seems too zoomed in, so it’s quite hard to see what’s going on. It’s not the end of the world, but it would be nice if they changed the camera just a bit.

Out of all three campains, I think I liked Chris’ the most, but they have only given us a little taster of each. I will say that Jake’s campaign is REALLY hard! I actually haven’t finished it yet due to dying.

So this wasn’t really a review, but my thoughts on the demo. From what I have played today, I certainly can’t wait to grab the full game in October. It’s just as fun as you’d expect from a Resident Evil title, but as I said above, the aiming and view are a bit bad, but it’s not exactly going to affect my decision on buying the game or not as I am sure once you get used to it, it’ll be ok. Plus I am a bit of a Resident Evil fanboy! ^_^

So all I really have left to say is BRING ON OCTOBER!!

Thanks for reading, and if you have any questions about the demo, I’ll gladly try and answer them to the best I can! (just click ASK ME ANYTHING)

UPDATE:There appears to be some confusion with this post, so I thought I would edit the post to clarify. This is not a real game and was never announced by CAPCOM. This is just a title I have wanted for a long while now so I decided to make the box art (a little bit of boredom in there, too, along with excitement of E3). I apologise for any confusion and possible over-excitement caused from this unexplained post - I didn’t mean to trick anybody. However, I did use “Fan Art” in the tags. Anyway, sorry once again. It’s good to see support for the title though, I must say.

Resident Evil 6 NEW TRAILER (Captivate 2012). This trailer looks amazing! The best part is where at the end, the release date has been changed from 20th November 2012 to 2nd October 2012!

Resident Evil: ORC — Free DLC

Today, Capcom announced that their upcoming title, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be getting some free DLC in April.

Good news for Operation Raccoon City players! A free Spec Ops DLC mission will be available to download for PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE users on April 10th (US) and April 11th (Europe). The mission will revisit the moment Jill Valentine encounters the Nemesis, and face players against the U.S.S. and multiple B.O.W.’s.
Resident Evil 6 Confirmed

Resident Evil 6 has finally been announced. Capcom have published this information as well as a trailer (which I posted before this!)

The internet buzz is true - Resident Evil 6 is indeed in development for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.That detail may not be too shocking considering the level of speculation churning over the past few days, but we can also confirm RE6 pairs Leon S Kennedy and Chris Redfield together, and is scheduled for release on November 20, 2012.

Zombies. Outbreaks. BOW outbreaks across the world. The looming threat of global bioterrorism is finally a reality, with our roster of capable heroes forced to confront this horrific scenario head on. Based on the trailer, we can see Leon investigating a small town that’s suffered a Raccoon City-like infestation, while Chris heads to China for an all-out assault on the front lines. These two play styles merge to form what executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi calls “dramatic horror,” which fuses action, tension and scares in a brand new way.

“It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack.  With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.”

I think that the newly released trailer looks fantastic! Certainly looks an improvement on Resident Evil 5. Let’s just hope it’s longer, eh?
